Digital Photo Adventure

The Digital Photo Adventure is a three day event designed for those who want to combine learning about their digital camera with the opportunity to learn more about outdoor photography by participating in a guided, hands-on experience in a small group. 

Day 1

3+ hours  at The Center, Time Negotiable

Experience a pre-adventure session to learn about the features of your digital camera and gather some suggestions about choosing subjects and composing pictures, including a question/answer opportunity 

 

Day 2

Depart from The Center at 7:00 AM

Return to The Center approximately 7:00 PM

Spend a day in a photogenic setting, such as Yosemite or Monterey Bay, taking pictures under the guidance of earth photographer Frank Saxton.  Coaching includes picture composition, using natural light, capturing large scenes and close-ups, and other tips.

 

Day 3

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at The Center

Day 3 is for processing the pictures using the latest software in order to learn how to print photographs, email images, and insert images into multi-media presentations.  End the day with an art show at The Center, for family and friends

Special discounts are available to those who arrange their own groups of three or four participants; dates and locations other than those currently scheduled may be arranged to meet the needs of the participants.

 

 

Fee per participant:  $179.00, which includes a non-refundable $25.00 deposit to confirm the reservation.  Meals are not included.  A loaner camera is available for limited use.  A minimum of three participants is required to conduct an Adventure, with a maximum of four participants.  Exceptions and group rates may be available for families.
